Hi OFT, I am needing forest inventory data from collect mobile to CSV format. For this, as I know, it should be brought into collect desktop and export in CSV format. CSV format can be opened in any spreadsheet program. Only with admin right, mobile data can be imported into collect desktop. There is risk to give admin right for users for only to import the data in collect desktop. Is there any option that the user can import mobile data in collect desktop without having admin right? It will give us mainly two benefits. Forest inventory data will be deposited surveyed by different users in one collect desktop and the user can be benifitted getting universal format eg. CSV to analyze further more.

Dear Rajkumar,
It's easier to make the users with Data Cleansing and Data Analysis roles be able to do data import.
Since with data import you will modify existing data (importing a CSV or Excel file for example) it will be normal for these users be able to edit existing records.
Maybe in a future release of Collect there can be the possibility to customize in details the features allowed to every user, but now it's not in our priorities.
Many thanks,

Hi OFT, I did so as you suggested. but it has only data export option but not to import. Can we make a system that will allow a specific user that has the right only to import/export the data. It will be more benefited if he/she can not edit/delete/alter the data.Thank you.

Hi Rajkumar,
What do you think if we give the possibility even to the users with role Data Cleansing or Data Analysis to import data into the Data Management module? This will simplify the things instead of adding another role with just "data management" capabilities.
Let us know, many thanks.
