Hi all,

in our current survey we have several tables where we collect information e.g. on trees, deadwood, regeneration. From time to time our field crews enter a new line into this tables but recognized later that the line was not needed. Thus, in our collect desktop we find a lot of plots with empty lines.

I would now like to use the data cleansing methods to identify and delete those empty lines. I was successful in identifying the lines using a query e.g.: idm:blank(trees_dbh) and idm:blank(trees_height) ... . But under the data cleansing step I find only the following cleansing types i) delete record (which would only delete one record in the row) and ii) delete entity (which deletes the entire plot), and update. Also, in the data manager I cannot find an option to delete lines from a table.

Thus, my questions is: How can I delete rows from a table either in the data manger or in data cleansing ?

Greetings from Göttingen Paul

Hi Paul,
In the Data Manager you can delete a row by just right clicking on a field in the row and selecting "Delete row".
In the Data Cleansing you can delete an entity but this must be selected in your query.
What did you select in your query? The plot? Try to select the tree instead...
Many thanks,
