Collect Mobile on ASUS Fonepad 7 (ME372CG)

Dear Developers and Fellow Users,

Anyone has experience using Collect Mobile on ASUS Fonepad 7? CM is crashing constantly with a survey form that is running happily even on a low-end Android phone. Crash report has been sent, Iam just looking for some input from other users/developers who used CM on the exact same model.

Maybe not your phone type but a bug related to numeric fields 'left open'; try to fill empty fields with eg '0' ... that avoids crashing of my Samsung phone for now. Hope OF team can solve this. Joseph

Hi Andras, unfortunate this crashing, but are you sure there are no numeric fields are left open in the data (so that i have at least one fellow for my problem). Meanwhile we hope that the log files give the solution for the OF team.

Hi Joseph! Crashes seem to be related to fields with error checks. If one fills in a wrong value and tries to change it (the moment the value is deleted) CM crashes. Actually I have heard yesterday from Swedish colleagues, that CM is crashing on a Panasonic rugged tablet running Android 4.2. Could this be related to the Android version? They will send crash reports as well, so let's see what can be done.

Hi Andras, OF team launched a new update 1.6.5 [132] that solved this particular problem, check it out!

Dear András,
We have had experience with Asus phones and tablets but not with ZenPad 7 (as we saw in the Google anonymous reports). We will try to test CM on that device and we will let you know.
Meanwhile please update CM to the latest version (1.6.3) and please keep sending reports to Google.
