Dear FAO team, When I upload the exported file from the mobile into collect (data management), all “not required” variables at “entry step” is shown as error if it is not filled in. Thus from “entry step” I cannot move to “cleansing step” directly by using the “submit” button. In case I move all clusters at the same time from “entry step” to “cleansing step” by using the “workflow” button, errors disappear. I wonder if those errors shown at “entry step” for “not required” variables are only for double checking. Best regards Beka |

Dear Beka, Basically at the Entry stage for blank variables you should do as it is written in Collect User Manual: "If no value was present in the paper form, the data entry user can leave the field blank and specify the reason (by right-click on the field and choosing one of the options)."
