I am trying to run Saiku to do some analysis on the data. On the Collect Earth java script I clicked on "Start Saiku Analysis" and then "Yes" to generate the database. This seems to work as it indicates it is generating the DB and calculating expansion factors. Once it has done this nothing happens - no DOS window opens and nothing opens in chrome. Any suggestions on what the problem is and how to solve it?

Thanks, Luanne

Dear Luanne,

Are you using PostgreSQL? In that case, there is an issue when you have an old version of Collect Earth that the PostgreSQL library is not installed in Saiku (even if you have updated Collect Earth to the latest version!)

So, in order to fix this issue please download this file ( PostgreSQL JDBC driver) and place it in this folder :

C:\OpenForis\CollectEarth\saiku-server_2.6\tomcat\lib

After doing this try to run Saiku again and it should work.

Otherwise, make sure that in Collect Earth -> Properties -> Advanced, make sure that the path to Saiku folder is C:\OpenForis\CollectEarth\saiku-server_2.6 ( or otherwise adapt the path to where Collect Earth was installed)

Hi, Ah ok. Yes there is an error message but seems to be related to the data import process. This is data which we created during a workshop on other computers and now I am trying to load OpenForis and all files onto my computer. The error is:

ERROR 2019-07-07 13:48:14,207 [XML Import Thread ] org.openforis.collect.io.data.XMLDataImportProcess: Survey uri not specified and packaged survey not found java.lang.IllegalStateException: Survey uri not specified and packaged survey not found at org.openforis.collect.io.data.XMLDataImportProcess.loadExistingSurvey(XMLDataImportProcess.java:251) ~[collect-core-3.24.23.jar:?] at org.openforis.collect.io.data.XMLDataImportProcess.createDataImportSummary(XMLDataImportProcess.java:177) [collect-core-3.24.23.jar:?] at org.openforis.collect.io.data.XMLDataImportProcess.call(XMLDataImportProcess.java:144) [collect-core-3.24.23.jar:?] at org.openforis.collect.io.data.XMLDataImportProcess.callAndObserve(XMLDataImportProcess.java:156) [collect-core-3.24.23.jar:?] at org.openforis.collect.earth.app.view.ImportXMLDialogProcessMonitor.startImport(ImportXMLDialogProcessMonitor.java:111) [CollectEarth.jar:?] at org.openforis.collect.earth.app.view.ImportActionListener$1.run(ImportActionListener.java:114) [CollectEarth.jar:?]

Perhaps there is some sample/demo data I can use to test Saiku and if it works then I must just figure out what is wrong with me import data.

Cheers, Luanne.

Dear Luanne,

Does the Saiku window opens at all (see below)

In that case, try to open the Saiku IP address directly in your browser: http://127.0.0.1:8181/
