Hi,

I tried to generate sample points in R and exported it as a ".kml" file. However, when I tried to load it in Collect Earth, after specifying the .csv file that would contain the survey data, an error occurred (Please find the screenshot here: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1vAOHgTUDV4m1NRbUgHKGE1QBKgInvEY1). This error doesn't occur if I load it in Google Earth (not from Collect Earth).

Is there any workaround to fix this issue?

Sorry for the crosspost; I am unable to upload the screenshot directly due to insufficient reputation points. Any help and comment are greatly appreciated. Thanks!

The error might have to do with the structure of the kml that was generated from R.

If it works in Google Earth (which is better at parsing kml than Collect Earth ) then you could try to open it with it, then right click on the kml in the left panel of Google earth and use the "Save as" menu item (using the .kml file extension option). This should force the saved kml to have an structure that is allowed by Collect Earth).

Try to import this new kml in Collect Earth and if it does not work send the kml that you are trying to use so that we can check it ( post a a Google Drive/Dropbox link)

Thank you for your prompt responses. However, none of your suggestions really worked for me. Nevertheless, somehow I have solved the issue by installing the latest update of the Collect Earth software. It is still a huge mystery for me why such an error occurred, though.

Thank you very much for the superb update and keep up the great work!
