Can I backup my data entered through Openforis Collect Data Management in my server running in localhost (in realtime)? I am using PostgreSQL server in my local computer and would like to backup collect data on one of the databases running on that server. Anyone have any clue??

Dear Milan,
You can backup the data collected data by accessing Collect with the "admin" user and accessing the Backup/Restore module from the Home Page of Collect.

You have to select the survey you want to export and then just click on the Backup button. A file with extension .collect-backup will be generated and you can use it to restore both survey design and data into an empty Collect installation or into an installation that already contains some records collected using the same survey design (you can even restore only the survey design, if you need, by importing the .collect-backup file from the Survey Designer).

The Backup/Restore module works with both standalone or server configuration of Collect.

Rajkumar, you can configure Collect for a multiuser environment, using a PostgreSQL database. You can follow the instructions here.

I hope it has been useful. Many thanks.

It would be the good system if entered data (through collect) can be stored in PostgreSQL in real time. But I do not think it can be done. All component of openforis app are independent. It should be stored manually, yet. If I am wrong please correct me.
